Toyohashi Heart Center is a specialized cardiovascular care center with 24-hour emergency care. Our center comprises two divisions: interventional cardiology and cardiovascular surgery. Interventional Cardiology refers to diagnostics and non-surgical treatments of the heart (coronary artery disease) and surgery programs offer patients a range of surgical operative services. Both divisions are equipped to provide the best possible quality of treatment for each patient.

Toyohashi Heart Center's four catheter labs perform more than 3,000 diagnostic catheter (CAG) and 1,000 Percutenous Coronary Intervention (PCI) annually. CAG is on an outpatient basis and PCI is on an overnight basis. Three hundred surgical operations such as CABG (Bypass surgery) are performed in the operating room per year.

The prominent number of procedures is a reflection of our ongoing efforts to conquer heart disease. Toyohashi Heart Center provides patients with the broadest possible range of treatments, allowing the best choice for individual needs based on the most advanced services. The staff regularly joins international conferences, and keeps in contact with worldly renowned physicians, in order to stay on the cutting edge of heart disease treatment. Toyohashi Heart Center values informed consent. We believe it is very important for patients to understand their own condition, and how it will be treated. We strive to establish good communication with our patients, in order to accomplish this goal. There is also a variety of animated information videos, which have been made using the latest animation network system, and is shown on a large plasma vision screen.
